1. Avoid powder
The very nature of the powder is to cover and mattify our faces. If you have oily skin this may help, but the production of sebum slows down with age. As we age, the powder begins to appear dry and dusty on our skin, which visually ages us. What we really want is a youthful glow.
Instead of using powder, use a spray bottle to set makeup. Add an extra layer of moisturizer to dry or dehydrated areas before applying makeup. Many finer lines can be reduced or eliminated with extra hydration. Also, use the liquid foundation with light-reflecting particles, blush, and bronzer creams. (Go to the next slide for more tips).
2. Eyelash powder
You will therefore get rid of the powder that ages your skin. But you also want to have thicker eyelashes, so don’t throw it away just yet. You can use loose powder to coat your lashes before applying mascara. Do you only have compact powder? It’s easy to peel off with a clean mascara brush.
Use the brush to sprinkle the powder on your lashes. Apply two coats of mascara starting at the root with the brush. From there, swipe up and inward toward your nose. Use a clean brush to brush off excess powder that has fallen around.
