Fine lines, spots, dilated pores, droopy eyelids… Over time, the signs of aging appear and the skin loses its radiance. Fortunately, when mastered, make-up can work wonders… Proof by ten with these make-up tips.
Here are 10 Makeup Tricks that will Make You Look Younger
1. PREPARE THE COMPLEXION WELL
A successful make-up depends above all on well-prepared skin. Start by activating blood circulation by gently pinching the skin and making small circular massages on the cheeks, forehead and around the eyes.
Before moving on to the make-up step, don’t forget to apply your day cream. Keep in mind that well hydrated skin will immediately look younger. If you wish, you can apply a smoothing and anti-aging serum before your cream.
2. USE A “PRIMER”
Primers are those little miracle products that you will never be able to do without. More commonly known as “foundation base”, they are applied before foundation and serve to camouflage all the small defects of the skin. Dilated pores, redness, fine lines disappear like magic!
Good to know, there are also special buses for the eyelids that help to fix the shadows. A formidable weapon to hang pigments on a wrinkled eyelid.
3. PUT PINK ON YOUR CHEEKS
As you age, the complexion loses radiance and color. The pink that once rose to the cheeks at the slightest compliment tends to fade. Finish your complexion with a hint of blush in the hollow of the cheeks.
4. DRAW YOUR EYEBROWS WELL
With age, eyebrows tend to grow thinner and thinner. Add to that the mistakes of youth (thanks to the fashion for ultra-plucked eyebrows) and it’s a disaster! To catch up, we will therefore have to open our eyes. The right move? Redraw your eyebrows and subtly lengthen the original line. Choose a tone-on-tone or slightly darker pencil that will intensify the look and restore all its radiance.
5. MASTER THE EYELINER
After a certain age, eyeliner tends to weigh down the eyelid. Prefer a thin, well-drawn line rather than a thick “cat’s eye” line. For more naturalness, turn to a brown eyeliner.
6. DARE FALSE EYELASHES
Like the eyebrows, the eyelashes can become impoverished and therefore obstruct the gaze. To remedy this, invest in a pair of false eyelashes. No way to look like Kim Kardashian! Choose a discreet pair that will simply add volume to the lashes while remaining natural. And if you really don’t dare, fall back on a good volumizing mascara.
7. BET ON FLAMBOYANT LIPS
From vermilion red to fuchsia, passing red-orange… we let ourselves be tempted by bright colors that will give pep to the complexion. However, beware of colors that are too dark like plum, which may harden the face. On the material side, favor satin and glossy finishes. And if you opt for a very colorful mouth, avoid making up your eyes too much to avoid the carnival look.
Note, light colors are not to be banned! A pretty beige-pink or an electric glossy brown matte will be just as suitable.
8. USE COLLAGEN BOOSTER RAL
Rather than go under the knife and spend a fortune on a few collagen injections, invest in a good collagen-boosting lipstick. Plump, sensual and moreover colorful lips are yours!
9. AVOID OVER POWDERY TEXTURES
Generally speaking, powdery materials tend to seep into fine lines. If this is not really bothersome at 20, it is much more so when the skin is no longer very young. Choose glossy, melting and creamy textures that will naturally give the skin a hydrated and therefore cooler effect.
10. BET ON NATURAL
Foundation, eyeshadow, eyeliner… make-up is made to beautify the face and not to conceal it. At 20 as at 40, stay natural!
